Avoid clogging and bridging in the silo

The basic idea of how the fluidisation system can be used in silos is to attach the perforated rubber tubes from Aeromatic to either the wall of the silo or the bottom of the silo and by applying compressed air of approximately four bars the materials in the silo will fluidise.

The bottom of the silo

By using the perforated rubber tubes from Aeromatic you can avoid the materials in the cone bottom of the silo to clog up, forming a so called “rat hole”. Furthermore the cone of the silo is reduced from 60 degrees to 20 degrees, which gives more volume to the same amount of space. The cone can even be removed, but this will slow down the process of discharging the materials in the silo.

The wall of the silo

A typical problem with stored materials in a silo is that they cling to the wall of the silo resulting in “first-in-last-out” discharge. When installing the perforated rubber tubes from Aeromatic on the silo wall you effectively avoid bridging of the materials, and thereby the dangerous job of having to crawl down into the silo to clean it.
